Logic Protect Overview

Offline Software Activation

Logic Protect features a number of offline activation options, including:

Proxy Server
  1. Proxy Server
  2. Offline Activation Tool
  3. Phone Activation

1. Proxy Server

Logic Protect can be configured to activate your application on network computers without direct internet access. This options requires atleast one machine on the network to have direct internet access to act as a proxy activation server. The license information will be relayed to the proxy server, which will handle all of the activation requests. Once activation data has been downloaded from the Logic Protect Activation Server, the network proxy server will then pass the activation request back through the network, activating your application.

2. Offline Activation Tool

Logic Protect can also be configured for software activation on computers which do not have direct internet access and are not connected to a local network. A special activation utility loaded onto a USB flash drive, collects the required activation requests from each computer. The information is then passed to the Logic Protect Activation Servers once the USB is connected to a PC or server with internet access. Once license and activation information has been downloaded, it can then be transfered back to the destination computer to complete software activation.

3. Phone Activation

Phone activation is an ideal solution for those users, who do not have direct internet access or do not want your application to connect to activation server. Logic Protect generates a unique PIN for every user and prompts to make a phone call to activation center. The user has to dictate the PIN and serial number to software activation service and in response get the Activation Code, generated on the basis of user-provided data.
